Cantata Dinner Tickets can be purchased from the United Methodist Men.  The dinner of Lemon Peppered Pork with all of the trimmings will be served after the cantata tonight.  The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children.  

 

Easter Eggs: Order forms are available in the Welcome Center and on the piano.  Today is the last day to place your order. 

 

2007 Financial Statements & 2008 Offering Envelopes: 2007 Financial Statements and 2008 Offering Envelopes are available in the Welcome Center.  Please call the church office if you do not find your statement or envelopes or if you need additional envelopes for your family.

 

Adopt a Hero - HUMC will host a military dinner & adoption of service personnel this Thanks-giving.  We need families willing to open their homes to these heroes. If you are interested, please contact Lynn Sorey at 436-5694.

 

The Nurture Committee is beginning a card ministry to remember our military personnel, our college students away at school and also our nursing home residents.  If you know of someone who could benefit from this ministry, please turn in their name and address to the church office or call Carolyn Everton (406-1028).  Thank you.

Next Sunday you are invited to join in a Hickory tradition of flowering the center cross in front of the sanctuary.  Please bring fresh cut and/or artificial flowers to decorate our cross before and after worship services.

 

Hickory Seniors: There has been a change in the trip planned for March 31st.  The trip to Elizabeth City will now take place on Tuesday, March 25th.  Please be at the church no later than 10:00 am to carpool.

HUMC AFTER SCHOOL DAYCARE PROGRAM: Coming Sept. 2, 2008, from 2:00-6:00 pm, for children K-5th grade!  Registration has begun and spaces are limited.  For more information, including employment opportunities, go to the Children's Ministry Table in the Welcome Center.
