Collection of the Heart Havens
Lent Offerings: The season of Lent ends on Easter.
The UM Men are collecting your Heart Havens Lent Offerings. Collection boxes are in the Welcome Center
and in the Narthex. Please place your
Lent offering in one of these boxes.
Please ensure your name and amount given are printed clearly on your
offering so it may be recorded on your end of year giving statement. The box will be available next Sunday
also. If you wish to write a check,
please make it payable to the Hickory United Methodist Men. The Methodist Men wish to thank you for your
efforts in this worthy mission. We hope

Offering Envelopes: 2007 Financial Statements and 2008 Offering Envelopes are
available in the Welcome Center. Please
call the church office if you do not find your statement or envelopes or if you
need additional envelopes for your family.
Adopt a Hero
- HUMC will host a military dinner & adoption of service personnel this
Thanks-giving. We need families willing
to open their homes to these heroes. If you are interested, please contact
Lynn Sorey at 436-5694.
The Nurture
Committee is beginning a card ministry to remember our military personnel, our
college students away at school and also our nursing home residents. If you know of someone who could benefit
from this ministry, please turn in their name and address to the church office
or call Carolyn Everton (406-1028).

Hickory Seniors: There has been a change in the trip
planned for March 31st. The
trip to Elizabeth City will now take place on Tuesday, March 25th. Please be at the church no later than 10:00
am to carpool.
