Lent Offerings: The UM Men are collecting your Heart Havens Lent Offerings. Collection boxes are in the Welcome Center
and in the Narthex. Please place your
Lent offering in one of these boxes.
Please ensure your name and amount given are printed clearly on your offering
so it may be recorded on your end of year giving statement. If you wish to write a check, please make it
payable to the Hickory United Methodist Men.

Adopt a Hero
- HUMC will host a military dinner & adoption of service personnel this
Thanks-giving. We need families willing
to open their homes to these heroes. If you are interested, please contact
Lynn Sorey at 436-5694.
The Nurture
Committee is beginning a card ministry to remember our military personnel, our
college students away at school and also our nursing home residents. If you know of someone who could benefit
from this ministry, please turn in their name and address to the church office
or call Carolyn Everton (406-1028).

Next Gospel Concert: The next
Gospel Concert will be held on Saturday, April 12th, at 7:00 p.m.,
and will feature “Lost Then Found”, “Daughters of the King”, and Clarke
Wiseman.

HUMC AFTER SCHOOL DAYCARE PROGRAM: Coming Sept. 2, 2008, from 2:00-6:00

has begun and spaces are limited. For

Ministry Table in the Welcome Center.

Thank you to all the many
women from Hickory United Methodist Church, a few of our young men and those in
the community who came out to help with the Easter egg production. Due to
the large number of dedicated volunteers, everything went smoothly and we were
even ahead of schedule.
Our next meeting is April 17,
2008, in the fellowship hall at 6:30 pm, dinner will be served, a brief
business meeting, and fellowship time. All women in the church are
welcome, please come out and join us. If
you would like to attend but do not drive after dark, please contact Jennifer
Foster 757-410-2836 and we will arrange transportation for you.
