CHILDREN'S CHURCH VOLUNTEERS: We are currently in need of individuals willing to help out with our children's church ministry during the regular worship time on Sundays. A short lesson/ art activity is provided for the volunteer to use with a small group of children for 30 minutes after the children's sermon. Please prayerfully consider giving ½ hour of your time in a 3 month period to help with the ministry of our children at Hickory Church. Contact Donna Mishler @ 421-7963.
The pastor is available in his office on Wednesday and Friday mornings subject to emergencies. Please feel free to call the Pastor at any time on his cell phone (287-8420) or the church office (421-2778) and an appointment can be arranged.
BLUE BUCKET OF CHILDREN'S BOOKS: The Generation Why Not Sunday School Class is collecting Children's Books from toddler age all the way to high school age. These books will be donated to needy families in the community through the local schools, food pantries and women's shelters. Here is a staggering statistic: 61% of low-income families have no books at all in their homes for their children. Please put all your new and gently used books in the Blue Bucket provided in the Welcome Foyer. "Once you learn to read, you will be forever free." — Frederick Douglass

Praise Songs: HIS NAME IS WONDERFUL
His name is wonderful, His name is wonderful, His name is wonderful, Jesus, my Lord. He is the mighty King, master of everything, His name is wonderful, Jesus, my Lord. He’s the great Shepherd, the Rock of all ages, Almighty God is He. Bow down before Him, love and adore Him, His name is wonderful, Jesus, my Lord.
IN HIS TIME
In His time, in His time, He makes all things beautiful in His time. Lord, please show me every day as You’re teaching me Your way, that You do just what You say in Your time.
In Your time, in Your time, You make all things beautiful in Your time. Lord, my life to You I bring, may each song I have to sing be to You a lovely thing in Your time.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
