GOOD NEIGHBOR FESTIVAL YARD SALE ALERT!  It's that time again!  Let us help you get rid of those items in your closets, garages, and sheds.  All gently used, loved a lot items such as clothing, books, toys, games, furniture, appliances, tools, electronic equipment, and more can be brought to the church on September 19, 20, 21, & 22.  No items will be accepted after Sept. 22.     Looking forward to lots of stuff!!!  All donations are tax deductible.

HUMC After School Day Care: Farm Fresh Receipts: Please begin saving your Farm Fresh receipts for the Day Care Program.  Over the summer, we were able to obtain several needed items through this program.  Thank You.

Hickory Ruritan BBQ – Sunday, Sept. 19th, 12-4 pm.  Tickets - $7.

Chesapeake Community Messiah Production: Rehearsals will begin soon.  Please pick up a participation form and information sheet in the Welcome Center.  An organizational meeting will be held on Oct. 4th, 7 pm, at Great Bridge Baptist.  Participation form due Oct. 1st.

Generation Why Not Sunday School Class will begin a new Bible Study called, Becoming Money Smart by Max Lucado.  We will open God's Word to share enduring wisdom about money management.  Topics will include our attitudes about money, dealing with debt, and learning to give. Big Blue Bucket of Books Update: A Huge Thank You for all the generous gifts of books over the past months.  With your wonderful donations, you have supplied needy families in our community with over 300 children’s books.  Please continue to send books in as we continue this worthwhile ministry.  “The more you read, the more things you will know.  The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss
