Bible Study on Methodism Continues: Dec. 1st, Pastor Tom, "Why do Methodists Believe That - Our Christian Beliefs”. 

 

"A Gift From the Heart" is an opportunity for church members to make a donation to the Chesapeake Care Free Clinic during Christmas in memory or honor of someone or just to make a contribution.  On Sundays, December 5 and 19, Ginger Hampton will be in the Welcome Center during both services to accept your donations.

 

Angel Tree – HUMC is participating in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program this year. A tree with Angel Tree tags is located in the Welcome Center. Please prayerfully consider taking a tag or tags, purchasing clothing items for the child, then returning the items in a grocery size bag with the tag attached by Dec. 5th. The Angel Tree items are distributed to families in 12x12x12” size boxes. Please consider the dimensional parameters when returning items. If you feel so inclined, gift cards can be placed in the clothing. Please keep the child listed on your tag in your daily prayers. These local children and their families are facing many hardships in our current economy. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Lynn Sorey at 672-6529 or Margaret Norfleet at 421-4361.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers still needed!  Please prayerfully consider giving ½ hour of your time in a 3 month period to help with the ministry of our children at Hickory Church.  Contact Donna Mishler @ 421-7963.
