Pastor Sarah will be taking renewal leave from July 17 - September 2, 2025

The concept of pastoral renewal leave is a well-established one, but new to most of the
congregants at Hickory UMC.
Pastor Sarah is the first clergy person to take such a leave while appointed here, so there are bound to be additional questions. The following document was compiled to help bring clarity to this process. While Pastor Sarah is gone, we'll have two Pastors helping out at Hickory, one for each service.
Pastor Kim will be preaching in the mornings, and Pastor Matt will be preaching at The Hickory in the evenings! Pastor Kim will also be helping out with pastoral care over the renewal leave period. Get to know them below!
